I applied for the visa when I was 30, but turning 31 pretty soon. Do they still grant me the visa even though I am 31? In my case there were some problems and it is been a month since I applied for it.

There is absolutely no problem to apply outside of your country of residence. We’ll simply need to confirm your passport details and ask you a couple of questions and will be able to start your application straight away. Once the visa is granted, you will receive your visa confirmation letter by email as this type of visa is electronically attached to your passport details and no visa label is required to be placed in your passport. Basically upon arrival in New Zealand you might be required to provide proof of sufficient funds and either a return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such when you’re due to leave the country. If someone else will be supporting you financially I’d advise you this person to transfer the required funds to your account so that you could get a bank statement confirming that you have the required minimum of funds available upon arrival in New Zealand.
