The Turkish e-Visa was initiated in April 2013 as a replacement to the previous "sticker visa" which enabled people to get a visa upon arrival. Travellers who were required to obtain a "sticker visa" now need to obtain an e-Visa before travelling to Turkey. Please note, this visa is only valid for the purpose of tourism and business. For purposes such as working and studying, a visa from an embassy or consulate is required.
Visa requirements:
- Completed questionnaire
- A copy of your passport, valid for at least 6 months beyond the expiry date of the requested visa.
How long does the visa take to be organised?
The visa takes approximately 24 hours to be organised. However, please bare in mind that this time can vary.
When should I apply for this visa?
Please be advised that the earliest time you can apply for the visa is 3 months prior to your expected entry into Turkey.
How long is the visa valid for?
The visa is valid for 6 months from the date stated as “Valid From” date on the visa confirmation letter.
How much time can I spend in Turkey?
The visa validity allows for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in total once you have entered Turkey.
