To go to India on a business trip, you need an India business visa before your departure.
The business visa for India is delivered for business purpose including commercial negotiations, participate to an exhibition, repairing work in a factory and other professional reasons. The business visa can be delivered for 3 months to 1 year with a maximum stay of 30 days per visit. You can apply for an exemption to the 30 days rule.
Required Documents
- Passport valid at least 6 months and 20 days after the application date at the Embassy of India and must include 3 blank pages. The passport needs to be in excellent state to avoid getting your visa refused.
- The Indian Embassy application form signed on both pages. VisaFirst will fill the form for you without extra fee.
- Two photo IDs with a very special format: 5 x 5 cm, without glasses, with zoom on your face and shoulders, in colors.
- Passport copy.
- Letter from your employer in France, addressed to the Embassy of India in Paris, specifying the exact purpose of your visit and the expected start and end dates. This letter should be on company letterhead and written in English.
- 14. Letter from the Indian company, addressed to the Embassy of India in Paris, specifying the exact purpose of your visit and the expected start and end dates of the first mission as well as the next missions if already planned. This letter should be on company letterhead and written in English with a stamp and signature.
- A photocopy of the French company’s balance sheet « bilan comptable simplifié » (2 to 5 pages)
- If requesting an exemption from the 30-day stay restriction:
- “30-day Rule Exemption Request” Form for Business Visa filled in English and signed
- Documents justifying the need to stay longer than 30 days>
Extra documents required for foreign residents (outside CE): copy of resident card.
What is the processing time for this visa?
The standard delay is 4 to 10 working days from the time we receive your full Indian visa application. The express delay is 48 hours to 4 working days and the urgent delay is 24 hours.
If you do not hold a French passport, you can not get your visa in express or urgent delay and the processing time is at least 2 weeks. To apply for your visa with the urgent or express processing time, it is mandatory to provide a copy of your return flight to India showing you are leaving in no more than 10 days.
